a time of reinvention.
The Gilded Age (1878-1879) was an industrial face-lift for America. "The Land of Opportunity" had become much more affluent thanks to it's industrial re-work. Immigrants from all over the globe flooded into the country, looking to begin again. Literary writers and artists created masterpieces that shaped current and later generations. The Gilded Age was America covered in gold. Even if it was covered in gold, it doesn't mean it was at it's core. Sure, the Gilded Age wasn't a perfect time, and it did have it's major flaws, but in the long run, it was quite beneficial to the country.
